Ending premature ejaculation can be a very difficult challenge. In order to gain control over your performance, you need to understand what's causing the problem. And one of the key reasons why men ejaculate faster than they (and their partner) would like is because of their thoughts.
If you're looking to last longer in bed, this article provides some tips on how to improve your mental game.
First, it's important to understand that there are several mental triggers that can cause men to ejaculate prematurely. These include lack of confidence, performance anxiety, and overly focusing on their (own) sensations, among others.
Every man has a "point of no return," where it's literally impossible to prevent ejaculation. When this point comes, there's no turning back. As disappointing as it can be to ejaculate prematurely, it's best not to get too upset, because this feeling of disappointment or shame will often make things worse. It only makes the whole event more embarrassing for you and it focuses on the disappointment, rather than the positive aspects of the intimate occasion.
Instead of worrying about how long you'll last, stay focused on your partner's happiness and stages of arousal. After all, there are no extra points for lasting longer, if your ultimate goal is to have a more satisfying and fulfilling sexual relationship with your partner.
In order to last longer in bed, it's important to adopt a different mindset. First, it's important to have confidence, especially as it relates to performance anxiety. Even if you're not currently lacking confidence, focus on positive thoughts, and visualize success. Imagine how it would feel to last as long as you would like to. Stop focusing on your own sensations. Stop worrying whether or not you'll last longer. Calm down, and stay in the moment. The best way to do this is by focusing on your breathing.
Deep breathing and meditation can help you last longer in bed. In addition to focusing on your breathing during sex, take a minimum of 10 minutes every day to just relax and breathe. It may be hard to pull yourself away during your busy schedule, but this will decrease your overall stress levels, and is great for your general well-being as well as your sexual endurance.
