Is there a way to updated gears of war without xbox live?
Every time my friends and I get together to play gears of war someone does not have the latest update from xbox live so that means we cannot all play together in system link. I wanted to know if there was some way for the people to transfer the game update from one xbox 360 that already has it. We have fixed this problem temporally by not playing with hard drives and just using profiles off of a memory card.
I know how to transfer the xbox 360 dashboard update from one xbox to another but I was wondering if there was a way to do it for games also.

No you cannot do this as microsoft has made it impossible to use files downloaded from one 360 on another. If you try to use a hard drive from one 360 on another , you can do this, but only if you are connected to live and are signed in as the owner of the hard drive.They have done this as you have to pay for most of the content, and MS does not want to lose money by allowing you to share files.So basically, every player needs THEIR OWN copy downloaded seperately from live, and on the hard drive they used to download it. sorry
