These games, despite being of violent nature, do not portray too much violence in terms of body parts flying around the screen or blood spraying from the body when you are shot or when an enemy is shot. The publishers of this series have made some changes with the game play when it comes to the spraying of blood, adding a little bit of spray when an enemy or your character is shot. Before changes were made, the person shot would just fall down to the ground and then disappear after a period of time.
In the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008, Guinness World Records awarded the Medal of Honor series with the world record for the best selling first person shooter series. The game is still popular to this day, in large part because of the soundtrack accompanying the game. These games have had some of the best musical arrangements in them for video games and the music makes the game play extremely dramatic.
