Many collectors DVD in May against the problem of sharing their DVD movies with friends and backup DVD files on the hard drive of your computer.
Here I want to share a method of copy and backup DVD with a free application.
The solution I found is to use two applications Copy DVD on Mac OS.
1. Use DVD Ripper software to remove DVD protection and copy DVD folders.
2. Use software DVD burner to burn DVD files copied to a DVD.
Part 1. DVD Copiers
Step 1: Get Ready
MacTheRipper is one of the best rippers free DVD on Mac OS. You can download HERE. To install MacTheRipper, simply mount the. Dmg file by double clicking it, then copy the MacTheRipper application in the Applications folder (or wherever you want) with this MacTheRipper Manual if necessary.
Step 2: DVD Rip
Run MacTheRipper, and insert the source DVD disc. MacTheRipper can automatically detect information on the DVD inserted. See the following figure:
There are two main settings: Disc and Mode
1.In Disc settings:
UOP: you can ignore or fast forward through most DVD content, such as warning screens, previews, etc.
ICE Region:
If you show Burn "DISC RCE:-CLEAR-" after scanning the DVD, leave the option OFF state.
If you show Burn "DISC RCE:-detected, you must set the option in the region in which the DVD was purchased. For example, if you have a DVD that was purchased in North America (Region 1), and MacTheRipper says that RCE is detected, should set the RCE Region popup menu "to" ICE 1 "
De-Macrovision: you can save directly to your DVD recorder, or connect the DVD player through a VCR without a lot of wavy lines. This feature is enabled by default.
2.In configuration mode
Select how the extraction complete record book for all information on a DVD disc inserted. Note: If the DVD only contains the file address to a folder: VIDEO_TS to play the latest CD-DVD, you must create an empty folder and name the folder AUDIO_TS DVD.
Part2. Burn Folder DVD
Wondershare DVD Copy for Mac is an application that can be used for DVDs burn cases. After launching the software, see the following window:
Select the source:
Click the Browse button (the button with two arrows) in the selection field source and import the file of DVD face.
Select DVD Copy Method:
You can select the DVD ROM in which inserted a blank DVD disc.
Click the Start button to start recording a new DVD disc.
Tip: A playable DVD disc should contain two folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. The record AUDIO_TS is empty, but sometimes necessary.
This method is what I discovered myself. However, I am no expert Mac since Windows still use most of the time. Probably not the easiest, but I hope I can shed some light on how copy DVD on Mac OS.
