Alvord school board makes thousands in cuts
The Alvord school board agreed to cut thousands of dollars, and their own pay, at its meeting Thursday. Board members unanimously agreed to take the 3.9 percent pay cut they had requested of other employees, although they said that small cut was symbolic. They are paid just over $400 a month.
