PASADENA, CALIF. — Simon Cowell, the acerbic Brit who has helped give "American Idol" some of its sharpest — and nastiest — moments, will leave the popular singing show after this season.

This year Barbara Walters promises this years line up of the 10 most fascinating celebrities will be a must see event. Unlike previous years where she interviewed people she already knew or was familiar with, this year most of the guest she has never heard of. On the list one of guest will be making their second consecutive interview with Walters while another guest name has not been released yet and is set up to be a surprise when the show airs on Dec, 9 at 10pm on ABC

Glenn Beck – Beck is becoming a huge hit through his TV and radio shows also through his New York Times best selling books which detailed his struggles with alcoholism.
Kate Gosselin – Probably one of the most recognizable names in Reality TV. Became famous from her show John and Kate plus eight on TLC, but remained in the spotlight as the couple went through a messy divorce in front of millions of people watching.
